Zoot Money - one of the best "good-time" performers in the business, he not only plays great keyboards, but sings with guts and emotion. He has been a formidable contributor to the British music scene for four decades. Leaving his home of Bournemouth in 1963 to play in and around London with Alexis Korner, he then formed Zoot Money's Big Roll Band with fellow musicians from Bournemouth, and was soon a permanent fixture at the Flamingo Club in Soho's Wardour Street. The Big Roll Band played all over the UK. for more than three years. He later went on to become a member of the New Animals, and lived in Los Angeles for a few years.
On his return to England he played keyboards with Kevin Coyne and Kevin Ayers. Alongside his musical activities he has worked as an actor, appearing in many established TV. series, well known commercials and also a number of films. For the past several years Zoot has been a permanent member of the Alan Price Band and works constantly with his own Big Roll Band.
Over the years together with Colin Allen, he has written many songs that have been recorded by such artistes as Lulu, Maggie Bell, Long John Baldry and US. blues singer Jimmie Witherspoon.
